Discovered I had a version on one of my cds :) No one I know on the west coast has heard of these cartoons, so I’m guessing it’s a Midwest thing :)

omg……OMG!!!!! I have thought of this tune and the images every year since I saw it last…..close to 50 years ago? I’m in Maryland and it was broadcast here, too. Thank you so much for such a wonderful childhood memory.

This never gets old. Bless my soul to hear this now. I couldn’t wait until xmas time and watch Garfield Goose or Ray Rayner to hear this. God bless all of them that helped us stay children. Bozo-Bob Bell, Cookie, Oliver o Oliver- Ray Rayner, Mr. Ned, Frazier Thomas rest their souls. Ty so much for posting this and making me and my wife so happy. Childhood can never be recaptured.

Yes, It was all so simple then; I’m from Chicago and watched this, Suzy Snowflake, and frosty the snowman on Garfield Goose & Ray Raynor!! I’m 47 now and these 3 videos take me right back to my childhood; I miss my Grandma!!!!!

  13. tooslimnc says:

We saw them in the NYC area too. We always thought the Santa was the creepiest, too! But we looked forward to seeing this and Suzy Snowflake on broadcast tv in the pre-vcr,dvd days.

The TV station in Johnstown, PA always ran these during the holiday. Last time I was home, they still ran them. In fact this one is off of that station.

  19. ElGrandeBlanco says:

Wow, what a memory. This, Suzy Snowflake, Ray Rayner, Garfield Goose, basically my childhood. Thanks for sharing.

  20. ktrain115 says:

Yeah it’s lame, but at least in those days it kept our minds off of booty videos and Playstation. Lame by today’s standards of technology, but a classic.

  21. chitalgal says:

Wow! I had forgotten about these guys till I was watching the WGN 60th anniversary special. I was a Garfield Goose maniac and when they showed Frazier Thomas and my favorite goose, Hardrock Coco and Joe instantly flashed into my head and I started singing it! My 18 yr old son thought I was nuts. Ahhhhhh memories…it ain’t much by todays standards, but to us 50′s/60′s kids, it was among the favorites.

  22. Uyhazi says:

wyvernsc, one negative comment is plenty–you don’t need to beat it to death. How about a little more tolerance? For those of us growing up in the Chicago area in the ’50s and ’60s, this is a Christmas classic. It’s something that I think of every Christmas season, and seeing it here brings back happy memories of childhood.

  23. Ayoudell says:

    A Christmas classic!

  24. wyvernsc says:

I showed this to my 11-year-old. The police are still out looking for him. Yuk! Sheeeesh!

  25. bitchyb73 says:

I totally remember it great show and Cuddly Duddly was my favorite segment.
