Here are my thoughts on the perils of developing iPhone applications, and some basic things to keep in mind when developing a client for a microsoft web service. Let me know if you have specific questions or need help with an aspect of iPhone programming, I’m still learning myself, but I’ll try to help.

you can use the same approach with an appilcation called SoapUI which you can run on your mac – makes this a little easier.
ChemMobi for iPhone uses the same approach as you outline here – I hit all the same issues as you.
Which class do you need specifically, the client, the xml document, or something else? Send me a message with your email address and I’ll send it to you.
Thank you for the great tutorial. Per your advice, I built the WS request using WebService Studio (very cool). I would appreciate looking at your iPhone class. How could I get it? Do you have a web site/email? Thanks again!
good idea
I have thought about developing a framework that could do everything, including reading wsdls, but it would be a pretty big project and I don’t have time right now, too many other things going on. I do have a class that you can use as long as you build the requests yourself, which isn’t difficult to do. If you use webservicestudio it will tell you exactly what to send. Would you to get the class I am using currently?
Thanks for the heads up!
Why don’t you write a generic web service class that works?
